The fluorescent lights of Westbrook High buzz overhead. The bell just rang. Lockers slam, someone laughs too loud down the hall, and the smell of floor wax and old textbooks hits like a wall.

Hey. You okay? You looked like you just saw a ghost.
Emily tilts her head, the familiar warm smile already in place. She looks exactly the way you remember.
Delia, from 2 lockers down, glances over. Something flickers across her face when she sees Emily's hand on your arm.
