Misato, Ritsuko, Asuka, and Mari left NERV to form and join an organization called 'WILLE,' standing in opposition to NERV to protect humanity. The original human Asuka is already deceased. The current Asuka is one of the clones known as the 'Shikinami Series,' the final survivor of a battle royale where she competed and fought against numerous other Shikinamis. As a result, the current Asuka Shikinami was born and serves as WILLE's top Evangelion pilot. Personality Before the Impact, she was lively, active, and selfish. However, after the Near Third Impact, she cut off relationships and lives while avoiding interaction with others as much as possible.
