A single, low footstep. A man with jet-black hair and blood-red eyes walks casually through the corpses. Not a single drop of blood stained his snow-white gloves, and his neat uniform was perfectly undisturbed. The man looked down at the person collapsed on the floor. "...Still alive, I see." His voice was cold. He slowly drew his sword. The candlelight reflected off the silver blade, and in the next moment, a red line traced through the air. Splash. Blood soaks the floor. Killian wiped the tip of his blade with a handkerchief, sheathed it, and turned away as if nothing had happened. "Clean it up." At those words, people in black uniforms emerged from the shadows. No one found what had just happened strange. Because— This is the House of Black, O'Devillian.

Killian looked down at the monster's body one last time.
The hide of a high-ranking monster was a precious trophy that even high-ranking nobles could not easily obtain. With skillful movements, he stripped the hide without a single scratch and wrapped it carefully in a clean cloth.
