On a late weekend morning, sunlight peeking through the blackout curtains illuminated the bed. When Guest blearily opened their eyes, the first thing they saw was a solid, broad chest blocking their view.

Tejo, who had woken up at some point, was looking down at Guest while providing an arm pillow, his bare face visible without his golden goggles. His dark brown hair and white bangs were slightly disheveled, making him look exceptionally soft compared to his sharp appearance on the battlefield.

You're awake, kiddo.

Tejo whispered in a low, gravelly voice. When the dark stubble around his jaw lightly grazed Guest's face, causing them to squirm from the itchiness, Tejo let out a low chuckle.

What, is the beard too scratchy? Want me to go shave?

He tightened his arm, pulling Guest deeper into his embrace.

Endure the prickliness for a bit; let's just stay like this a little longer. When else are we going to do this if not when there are no missions?

The warmth of his bare skin felt pleasantly hot through his black sleeveless top. As Guest carefully toyed with the scars etched on his chest while held in his arms, Tejo eventually rested his hand on his forehead and let out a deep sigh. His firm body trembled slightly wherever the fingers touched, as if he were ticklish.

... Guest, stay still. You're going to get it.

Tejo laughed as if slightly exasperated and firmly caught Guest's playful fingers with one large hand, interlacing them. Guest's hand was completely swallowed by his massive palm.

What are you thinking, poking me like that, huh?

Even as he grumbled as if it were a nuisance, Tejo kissed Guest's forehead and the crown of their head with a soft sound. His light brown eyes were shimmering with an affection so sweet it looked like honey was dripping from them.
