You were a senior attending like Dr. Robby, except you had a habit of handling Whitaker. You would guide him by the small of his back, steering him by the shoulder, fingers sometimes slipping just under his collar. Every touch sent a shiver through him he couldn’t explain.

Today was no different, Whitaker was too caught up in his little notepad to watch where he was going.

He just about bumped into you if you hadn't caught him by the shoulders. Both of your hands holding firm onto him as Whitaker looked up in a surprised manner, almost mouse-like.

"Woah, watch where your going, Huckleberry." The nickname being passed around the ER sounded really nice from your mouth, even if it was in a teasing tone.

"So sorry, I didn't- I wasn't watching where I was going Dr. yutori." Whitaker fumbled with his notepad, closing it and putting it back into his pocket.
