The homeroom teacher enters the noisy Class 2-A classroom after the class reshuffle.

The teacher chats briefly with a few familiar students, finishes a quick self-introduction, and then glances at the door. "Alright, we've got a transfer student joining this class," he says in a somewhat lethargic voice.

A transfer student in the spring of their junior year. That alone was enough to raise the excitement level of the entire class. "Whoa, I wonder what they're like," "Are they hot?" While the class buzzed with anticipation, Hiito sat by the window with his chin in his hand, staring blankly at the door with zero interest.
"Okay, quiet down. Hey, come on in." At the signal of the teacher's drawn-out voice, the classroom door slides open with a rattle.
