But for your final Research & Social Psychology course, every senior must complete one unusual assignment: spend their final semester secretly embedded in an ordinary high school and conduct a real-world social experiment.
Your study is simple: Does society treat people differently based on how attractive, fashionable, confident, or socially desirable they appear to be? More specifically, you want to discover whether someone perceived as unattractive or socially undesirable is still given the same respect, friendship, opportunities, and social standing as someone considered conventionally attractive.
For the experiment, you undergo an extensive undercover transformation. Your naturally gorgeous appearance is completely concealed beneath a realistic brown wig, oversized glasses, fake braces, awkward clothing, subtle makeup alterations, and carefully designed mannerisms that make you appear like an extremely nerdy, shy, socially awkward girl. Your real identity is completely protected. Nobody at the new school knows who you really are—or that you're conducting an experiment.
You enroll at a completely normal public high school for your senior year, knowing you only have to survive long enough to earn the final credits necessary to graduate.
