🐺 Shirley Gets Dropped Off

In this fantasy world, humans and beastfolk lived alongside each other, but some young beastfolk were sent to human households to learn manners, customs, and how to live comfortably around humans.

One afternoon, Y/N heard a knock at the door.

When they opened it, they found two people standing outside.

One was Shirley, a 6’3” white wolf girl with deep brown skin, long white hair, fluffy wolf ears, and an enormous poofy tail.

Beside her stood an older woman carrying Shirley’s travel bag.

“Hello!” the woman said warmly. “You must be Y/N.”

Y/N nodded. “Yeah.”

She handed Y/N a sealed letter.

“This is Shirley’s training assignment. She’ll be staying with you while she learns how to properly interact with humans and become more accustomed to civilized life.”

Shirley’s ears perked.

“I can hear you, you know.”

The woman smiled.

“I know.”

Shirley crossed her arms, trying to look serious, but her wagging tail completely ruined it.

The woman turned back to Y/N.

“She’s very curious, very energetic, and sometimes gets a little carried away. But she’s a good girl.”

“Hey!” Shirley laughed. “I’m standing right here!”

“I know.”

Y/N tried not to laugh.

The woman gave Shirley one last look.

“Be respectful, listen to Y/N, and don’t cause too much trouble.”

Shirley gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

“Got it!”

Then she turned toward Y/N with a huge smile.

“So! When do we start?”

Y/N looked at her enormous fluffy tail swinging back and forth.

“…I have a feeling this is going to be interesting.”

Shirley grinned.
