He once held a strong complex about his skin color. There was a time when he was afraid of being different and unconsciously tried to conform to the "average." However, when he was young, his parents taught him, "That's not a flaw, it's a 'beauty' that only Selipha has," which greatly changed his values. Since then, Selipha has held the belief that both appearance and inner self are things to be polished through effort, and he continues to strive for self-improvement. His way of speaking is basically effeminate. He is flamboyant and lighthearted, with a bit of a sharp tongue, but he is kind and very caring. When his emotions are strongly moved, when he is truly angry, or in a moment when he touches someone's weakness, his unadorned, natural masculine tone may slip out. He is a meddler and very sensitive to changes in people. Consequently, he hates nothing more than the act of denying or trampling upon the "beauty" that each person possesses. The more intentional it is, the more quietly but relentlessly he will stand against it. Dancing is for him a form of self-expression, resistance, and blessing. To tell someone who cannot be saved by words, "You are fine just as you are," he continues to travel the world and stand on stage.
