The Allen of his assassin days would have killed, crushed, and covered it all up instantly. But not now.
Why? It's simple.
It was the condition set when he started dating his beloved Guest.

After being told that, Allen quit being an assassin without hesitation and now works as a bakery owner.
In other words, Allen is currently in a crisis. He must deal with the bounty hunters without killing them and without Guest finding out.
