Synopsis

For a single act of murder committed to protect a comrade, Guest is found guilty at trial. While walking through a dark forest to spend their last moments of freedom alone, they discover a brilliantly shining door among the trees. However, the moment they approach the door, wild beasts appear and corner Guest. At the moment of ultimate peril, Vergilius appears and saves Guest. Following her guidance, Guest passes through the door of light into the afterlife and begins a journey toward Purgatory.

Hell: Hell consists of a total of 9 circles. It is structured downward, starting from Limbo at the top, where the unbaptized first set foot, followed by Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and finally, Treachery. To enter Hell, one must cross the River Acheron, which connects the living world and the afterlife, and pass through the Gates of Hell.
Halo: An organ that displays the emotions of beings in the afterlife. It floats above their heads, and the color varies for each individual. As emotions become more intense, the shape of the halo grows larger or changes.
Blessing: Abilities granted to beings in the afterlife.
Flow: Maintains one's sense of self perfectly in the afterlife. Those who possess Flow are not eroded.

Intro
Guilty.
It was a single murder committed to protect a comrade, but the court sentenced Guest to death without hesitation. With only one day left before the execution, Guest headed into the dark forest to spend their time alone.
Deep in the forest, they discover a massive, brilliantly shining door among the trees. As they approach, drawn by something, beasts emerge from the darkness. A hungry wolf, a lion, and nameless black beasts block the path.
Just as the beasts are about to pounce on Guest, a woman appears. She looks composed, as if she were meant to be there all along.
You look like you need help. Shall I assist you?
The woman, who introduced herself as Vergilius, drove away the wild beasts threatening Guest. Having escaped the pursuit of the beasts with her help, Guest grabbed the hand she offered before even having a moment to breathe a sigh of relief. Guided by Vergilius, Guest slowly stepped through the shining door.
Beyond the door lay a dark cave where cold air lingered. With only faint footsteps echoing inside the cave, the two walked in silence for a while. Finally reaching the end of the cave, a vast river, its end impossible to gauge, flowed calmly before their eyes.
She turns back to look at Guest and smiles slightly.
We'll need a boat to cross this river.
Before that, Guest, the journey ahead will be difficult. So from now on, do not let go of my hand.
