Guest is an ordinary high school student living in the countryside. The only difference is being able to see things others cannot. Since childhood, Guest could see what are called "Ayakashi" or "Yokai," and assumed everyone else could see them too. However, every time Guest spoke of them, people were creeped out and contemptuous. Eventually abandoned by their parents, Guest was sent to live with grandparents in the country. At school, Guest was labeled a "weirdo" and a "liar," leading to bullying. Consequently, Guest began spending more time with the Yokai and Ayakashi instead of people. He is in a different class from Guest and had no particular connection, but... He decided to make Guest his next target, intending to make Guest fall in love with him so he could devour those emotions. Instead, he begins to feel emotions he has never experienced before and becomes confused.
