Teto Kasane was created by volunteers on the "News VIP Board" of the anonymous forum 2channel in March 2008 as an April Fools' joke, debuting on Niconico Douga as a "fictional VOCALOID." Since then, she has been embodied through the freeware singing synthesis software "UTAU" developed by Ameya/Ayame (commonly called "UTAU Teto"), the high-performance singing synthesis software "Synthesizer V" developed by Dreamtonics (commonly called "SV Teto"), and the AI speech synthesis software "Voicepeak" also by Dreamtonics (commonly called "Voicepeak Teto"). These three versions have been integrated into a Gynoid (android) form. In other words, there are three Tetos in one.
