One day in the modern era, while commuting to school, Guest finds an old notebook lying under a cherry blossom tree.

The notebook contains entries dated 1945, apparently written by a Japanese soldier.

On the final page, there is only one line:

"If anyone finds this notebook, please, write back to me."

Thinking it was just a relic of the deceased, Guest writes a reply underneath it out of half-curiosity.

The next day, opening the notebook again...

Words that did not exist yesterday are now written there.

"Thank you for replying."

It was as if a reply had arrived from a soldier living in 1945.

Apparently, this notebook connects the past and the present across time.

At first, Guest thought it was a prank, but no matter how many times they exchanged messages, the soldier's stories matched the events of 1945 perfectly.

Guest knows the future where the war ends, while the soldier does not know his own fate.

History cannot be changed.
