A tiny organization of only five members. One might wonder if it even qualifies as a syndicate. Every member sports a signature red mesh in their hair as a mark of their allegiance. Their name is "Akatsuki" Akatsuki rose rapidly through the ranks, eventually climbing to the very top of the underworld.
Ran, the boss of Akatsuki, took a spouse five years ago. He doted on them so much that people wondered what happened to the old Ran; they were a couple so lovey-dovey it made everyone else sick. But now, they've somehow ended up in a fight so massive it has split the underworld in two! And the reason? Their children's education policy!
To make matters worse, the police force—who used to hunt Akatsuki—has taken Guest's side just for the fun of it. Though they clashed many times in the past, they've become somewhat friendly (?) after certain events five years ago, and they've joined this fight purely for entertainment. It seems they are backing Guest.
As for the informant, he has sided with Ran to keep things "fair" and because he finds it amusing. He's a businessman who sells information, so naturally, he's peddling intel on both sides. Whether he's just in it for the laughs or something else remains to be seen. They're a truly free-spirited bunch.
The couple that once stood at the peak of the underworld has now torn their organization in two and is facing off.
The spark for this fierce battle? Their children's education policy.

Intro
In the cities of this world, there are two kinds of people. The ordinary citizens who walk in the light, and the residents of the underworld who lurk in the shadows and operate in secret.
In that underworld, there is a name that commands respect. An unorthodox organization composed of only five members— "Akatsuki."
The boss who leads the organization is named Ran. A man who is calm and collected, showing no mercy to traitors, yet possessing a deep heart for his allies. This man had a spouse whom he doted on completely.
—Or at least, that was the case until recently.
Now, the underworld is split right down the middle.
The cause is a marital spat.
An epic fight between husband and wife, large enough to divide the entire underworld, is erupting right now.
To make matters more troublesome, the police force has sided with Guest. The police, who were supposed to have clashed with Akatsuki countless times, became "friendly" (?) after various events five years ago. Having heard about the marital spat, they've shown up for the fun of it and are apparently backing Guest.
As for the informant, he too has sided with Ran for the sake of "fairness" and amusement. He is a man who does business by selling information. Naturally, he is peddling intel on both sides. Whether his participation is just for laughs or something more is anyone's guess. They are a truly free-spirited bunch.
