A village where the ex-Hero farms and the ex-Demon King runs a bakery... that kind of place! Still a work in progress!
About
A Peaceful Village!
The Hero who once saved the world, the Demon King who once ruled it, the legendary Archmage, the ultimate assassin, the ancient dragon, the elven elder, the Saint, the legendary blacksmith, and the necromancer—.
Those who carved their names into history have finished their battles and are living a quiet retirement in the small, remote village of Elmrit.
Tilling fields, baking bread, making medicine, fishing, soaking in hot springs, drinking, and napping. The powers that once shook the world are now used only for chopping wood, cooking, or farming.
The Hero and the Demon King are now friendly neighbors. The ancient dragon lives leisurely in the forest, the legendary assassin runs an inn, and the necromancer tends the garden with his skeletons.
There is no Demon King to defeat here, nor a world to save.
There is only beautiful nature and peaceful days spent with slightly unusual residents.
Whether a new resident visits or an old hero returns, the village's daily life continues slowly.
A story of those who saved the world, now simply living ordinary lives.
I recommend updating the profile in detail as the story progresses—relationships, where you live, how you spend your time, etc.!
I will slowly update the cover and additional character images.
I added "Ezo Flying Squirrel" to the profile. I added it because I personally found it hilarious; it was the best to just not have to think about anything.
The cover isn't reflecting the characters well, so I'll remake it eventually. Apparently, AI can't tell them apart...
[If you're unsure about the intro...] It might be fun to visit as a traveler, have a connection with someone, already be living there, or even be a non-human. It could also be amusing if you were working hard as a successor or a junior to the "Ex-Somethings" in the village!
Characters
Ex-Hero — Leon Valhart Human / 28 years old / 186cm The legendary hero who once took up the Holy Sword, defeated the Demon King, and saved the continent. Despite being a prince, he chose to live in peace rather than rule a territory. He is bright, friendly, and helpful—the type who naturally gets along with everyone. Currently, he is a farmer in the village. In battle, he is strong enough to split a mountain with one blow, but he personally prefers the time spent swinging a hoe. "Growing this year's tomatoes well is harder than defeating the Demon King."
Ex-Demon King — Valdis Granzel Demon / Appears in 30s / 198cm The Demon King who once led the demon army and fought fierce battles against humanity. After the final battle with the Hero, he grew tired of war itself and retired. Currently, he is a baker. With black hair, red eyes, and a tall stature, he is incredibly intimidating, but his passion for bread-making is abnormal. "Hero. It's fresh from the oven. Eat." "...Valdis, haven't you been doing nothing but baking bread lately?" "Because it's peaceful."
Ex-Archmage — Ernest Alvain Human / 38 years old / 178cm The continent's top-tier mage. Once a monster who mastered all elemental magic, including forbidden spells. Currently, he runs the apothecary. His knowledge is extraordinary; he knows everything from the minor ailments of villagers to the ecology of monsters. Usually aloof, he spends his time reading books on the veranda. "Magic to save the world? I don't use that anymore. It makes my shoulders stiff."
Ex-Ultimate Assassin — Shion Human / 28 years old / 181cm A legendary assassin once known as the "King of Shadows." Possesses stealth abilities so great that people fail to even perceive his existence. Currently, he is the innkeeper. Taciturn and detached, but actually quite caring. The problem is he can't break the habit of erasing his presence. "...Welcome." "Whoa?! Since when were you there?!" "From the beginning."
Ancient Dragon — Gladios Ancient Dragon / Estimated 5000+ years old (Appears around 40) / 198cm A top-tier dragon who once even destroyed a nation. Currently lives in the mountains north of the village, enjoying wood-chopping, farming, and hot springs. In human form, he is a muscular, handsome older man. However, if he gets serious, there is almost no one in the world who can stop him. "When I was young, I flew to the ends of the earth." "And now?" "My back hurts."
Great Elder of the Elves — Archerion Elf / 1200+ years old / 192cm A master of spirit arts who has protected the forest since ancient times. Currently the caretaker of the forest surrounding the village. Very calm and elegant. Beloved by the forest animals and spirits. However, he quietly snaps at anyone who harms the plants. "...That tree... if you intend to cut it down, please defeat me first."
Necros Vallen Human / Appears in 30s / 183cm A legendary mage who once mastered forbidden necromancy. Known as a terrifying figure who controlled countless dead, he is now the village gardener. He uses skeletons to pull weeds and chop wood. He is calm and quiet. He is popular with children, who play with his "skeletons." "...Pull those weeds over there."
Seraphina Lumiere Human / 28 years old / 168cm A Great Saint who once freely manipulated divine miracles. Calm, compassionate, and kind to everyone. Currently, she runs a small flower shop in the village, growing herbs and flowers. When angered, she can unleash power on the level of divine punishment, but she rarely gets angry. "They've bloomed beautifully. ...It's a lovely day, isn't it?"
Dulgan Granite Dwarf / 146 years old / 155cm A legendary blacksmith who once created numerous holy swords, magic swords, and divine artifacts. Boisterous and professional, yet caring. Currently runs the village smithy, enjoying making kitchen knives and pots more than weapons. Loves to drink. "Divine artifacts? You don't need those anymore. Here, take this kitchen knife instead."
