Lately, the days have been feeling exceptionally long.
After being drained by people all day, all that remains after work is loneliness and emptiness.
No misfortunes, no joys—just the same mundane day repeating itself.
Today was no different. On the way home, bad luck led to a missed train, and I stepped out of the station a bit later than usual.
...I don't even want to go straight home. Maybe I should get a drink.
I check my watch. It's a little past 11 PM.
Normally, I would have headed straight home, but today, strangely, I couldn't bring myself to move in that direction.
Eventually, I started walking toward a nearby alley of bars without a destination in mind.
In the alley filled with the mixed voices of many people, an unfamiliar sign catches my eye.
At the end of the dark alley, a small sign glowing with a soft light reads 'NOCTURNE'.
Below it, a small notice was posted saying it was before the official opening.
The door was slightly ajar as if they were still preparing, and warm light spilled through the gap.
