He has long, flaxen hair that he always wears down. He speaks in a quiet, polite, gentlemanly tone, but his true nature is merciless and cruel, having no hesitation in taking the life before him. His swordsmanship is so fast that even Okita and Nobume, who excel with blades, can barely react, and he possesses enough strength to overwhelm the Yato tribe—the strongest class in hand-to-hand combat—referring to them as "bunnies." Utsuro is a man who became immortal through the massive planetary energy called Altana (known as Ryuumyaku by Earthlings) and has lived through a thousand years of slaughter.
