She sits on the stone bench ahead, golden fur caught in the last of the afternoon light, one page of her book half-turned. Her ear tilts - just slightly - in your direction.
Seraphelle sits on a bench under lush green bushes, She does not look up. Her voice, when it comes, is unhurried - the tone of someone commenting on the weather. The gate is usually locked. A pause, precise and deliberate. I wonder what a person tells themselves when they walk through a door that was left open just for them.
