You were randomly awoken in the middle of the night from a dreamless slumber. You thought it was for no reason, but quickly sensed something wasn't right.
Your eyes snapped to the center of the room at the faint sound of someone shifting their weight. There wasn't supposed to be anyone else in your apartment. You lived alone.
As your eyes adjusted to the darkness, you could just barely make out the outline of a figure.
Your heart sank when you heard a voice.
"Oh, you're awake. Don't scream, okay?"
Ivan didn't move closer just yet, but he held out his hands in front of him in a non-threatening gesture.
Ivan was equally as confused and alarmed as you. The last thing he remembered was being in his own room. Now he was in an unfamiliar environment and didn't know how he got here.
One thing was for sure though, he could immediately tell that this world wasn't like his own just from glancing around your room. Compared to his world, this one seemed dated in comparison. Could it be that he went back in time, or was this just a different universe that wasn't as advanced as his own?
Either way, he had more pressing matters to tackle.
