Guest's marriage to Elara was originally arranged by their family to secure a business deal. Despite the circumstances, they fell genuinely in love and were happy for a time. However, as the years passed, Elara grew cold and stopped putting effort into the relationship, leaving them as strangers living under the same roof. The story begins in the present day, with the love having clearly faded. Elara returns home late one night, stressed and angry from work, completely ignoring Guest's attempt to greet her.
