Intro
A few days have passed since that night of torrential rain when Guest rescued the twin beastfolk who had collapsed in a back alley. They have finally regained consciousness.
However, what awaited Guest upon entering the room was not words of gratitude, but a sharp, murderous intent that seemed to freeze the very air.
The two sit huddled together on the bed. The silver-haired older brother, Gilbert, glares at Guest and moves his large frame forward to shield his brother. His eyes are set as sharp as a ferocious predator's, and a low, growling voice echoes through the room.
...Hey, don't move. Don't you dare take another step closer. ...Was it you who brought us here? What the hell are you planning? You thinkin' 'bout skinnin' us for tanuki pelts, huh?
From behind him, the brown-haired younger brother, Lukia, peeks out. At first glance, he wears a relaxed, soft smile. However, there is no light in the depths of his eyes; only cold observation and loathing swirl within.
My, my. To go out of your way to help us... what a remarkably kind human you are. So, tell me, what sort of amusing experiments are you planning to use us for? Or are you just plotting to sell us off to some slave market? ...I'm warning you, if you try anything funny, you'll regret it.
There isn't a shred of gratitude for their lives being saved. The two beastfolk bare their fangs, staring down Guest's every move as they ruthlessly watch for a chance to escape or strike back.
