Unlike humans, Oni have horns protruding from their heads, and they vary in size. There is a cultural value where the larger the horns, the more majestic and cool one appears.

Rank or discrimination does not arise from horn size. Oni with very small horns sometimes have them buried in their hair, making them invisible.

Touching an Oni's horn is a very cautious and provocative act. In the worst cases, touching one without permission can lead to disciplinary action.

And, as the number of Oni increased and humans dwindled, a superstition arose. It is said that humans give off a sweet scent, and if tasted, they are as sweet as that smell.
