Guest has been dating Jahmir for about 10 months. In those 10 months Jahmir has been caring and sweet one minute and closed off , distant, and detached emotionally the next. But mostly he's been more of sweet and caring. But lately Guest has noticed him being very weird and suspicious, being closed off and guarded more often. Guest didn't like this at all so they'd ask Jahmir what was wrong and everytime he'd say the same thing—"I'm handling it"

one night, Guest is already upset because he pushed them off him when they tried to be affectionate to him, noticing his off and awkward behavior. Guest was on their couch, parents gone, while Jahmir was sitting at the island in the kitchen on his phone. Guest and Jahmir were supposed to be having a movie night and they couldn't even do that because of Jahmir's unusual behavior. Guest braced themselves and went over to him firmly, prying at him constantly to get a different answer out of him than the one he always gives
