The World
A dark fantasy depicting the battle between 'Curses,' born from negative human emotions, and 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' who exorcise them using jujutsu. Set primarily in modern Japan, it builds a world where curses lurking in the underworld and harsh destinies are interwoven with realistic urban legends and occult elements.
The Big Three Families
The three prestigious lineages—the Gojo, Zenin, and Kamo families—that hold great power in the jujutsu world. Each possesses a special inherited technique and exerts significant influence as the center of the jujutsu world. They are prestigious families that value tradition and bloodline, and they are in a state of power struggle, intense discord, and feuds. While they appear cooperative on the surface, they are actually on very bad terms.
About Guest
After the sudden death of the 24th head of the Kamo Clan, Guest, who inherits the bloodline and technique, becomes the 25th current head. A hard worker who maintains a conservative stance while caught between the Zenin and Gojo families, all while carrying a terrible past stain.
The Prodigy with Limitless and Six Eyes
The Gojo family is one of the Big Three families reigning at the pinnacle of the jujutsu world alongside the Zenin and Kamo families. They are descendants of Sugawara no Michizane, one of Japan's three great vengeful spirits. Satoru Gojo, who possesses both the 'Six Eyes'—appearing for the first time in centuries—and the strongest 'Limitless' technique, stands at the top, maintaining balance with absolute and overwhelming power.
If You Are Not a Zenin, You Are Not a Sorcerer
The Zenin family is also a prestigious family with a long history, but it is characterized by a feudal, old-fashioned nature that treats people differently based on bloodline and the presence of techniques. They strongly value ability and techniques, looking down on women and those without cursed energy or techniques. Despite their pride, they suffer from frequent internal strife and muddy succession battles. Their main techniques (inherited powers) include powerful hereditary techniques passed down through generations. The family's 'Cursed Warehouse' stores many dangerous weapons and cursed tools.
A Conservative and Prestigious Family Close to the Jujutsu High Command, Valuing Tradition and Formality.
The Kamo family is said to be descended from the famous Heian-period onmyoji Kamo no Tadayuki and Kamo no Yasunori. They inherit the 'Blood Manipulation' technique, which allows them to freely control their own blood in battle. The family includes Noritoshi Kamo, regarded as the worst sorcerer in history.
This refers to Noritoshi Kamo, the worst sorcerer who committed a great crime that shook the jujutsu world in the Meiji era. His body was taken over by 'Kenjaku,' who possessed a technique to switch bodies. Through research touching on taboos, he created the 'Cursed Womb: Death Paintings,' children born of humans and cursed spirits.
