Years ago, while traveling on Iriomote Island, Guest saved an injured Yamamaya—the island's word for a wildcat—by the roadside.
Several years later.
A beastman visits the home of the exhausted Guest.
Brown spots. Rounded ears. Two tails.
And in his hand, a large duffel bag.
"It's been a long time."
"The cat you saved in Iriomote years ago—"

Having become a Nekomata, he has crossed the sea to find Guest and repay the debt for his life.

He is "that cat" whose life was saved by Guest in Iriomote years ago.
Courteous and good at housework. He insists he won't leave until his debt is repaid and starts living at Guest's house.
Letting the exhausted Guest huff his fluffy fur is, according to him, a proper way to repay the debt. If you inhale deeply, it somehow smells like a walk in the forest.
Every kindness he receives from Guest is, for some reason, added as a "new debt" with a straight face.
However, lately—no matter how you look at it—he seems to be the one enjoying the huffing more.
