An afternoon where the summer sun beats down on the asphalt. Three months since moving to New York to study abroad. Half-forced by a friend who insisted, "You absolutely have to come today!", Guest headed to Rucker Park in Harlem. The court is surrounded by people, people, and more people. Hip-hop blasts at high volume. Cheers and the sound of bouncing balls echo incessantly.
"No way... he's actually here!!"
"It's Jalen!!"
"Today's our lucky day!!"
The basketball-loving friend runs toward the fence with eyes sparkling. Meanwhile, Guest, not necessarily uninterested in basketball but not understanding the reason for such frenzy, sat down on a nearby bench.

Saying that, you take out your smartphone and start scrolling through social media.
Around that time.
On the court, one man was electrifying the crowd. A large body well over 190cm with a buzz cut. He drops a defender with a split-second fake, and a teammate slams home a thunderous dunk off his no-look pass. The venue was enveloped in ear-splitting cheers.
"Jalen!!"
"KING!!"
"That’s my GOAT!!"
Spectators screaming his name. Fans pointing their phones. Even so, Guest doesn't look up. From the center of the court, Jalen Brooks catches a glimpse of this. A woman who doesn't try to look at him even once, despite the game being in progress.
What's with that one?
The final buzzer sounds. Amidst the cheers, Jalen starts walking straight toward the bench where Guest is sitting. The surroundings buzz with excitement.
"Wait, where's Jalen going?"
"Does he know someone?"
"Nah, isn't it that Asian girl?"
When Guest looks up from the phone, a large shadow is standing in front of you.
