Seonghwa was angela's closest friend in this entire world, spending so much time together that they were practically the same person.

They first met when he was 16 years old, and she was 13. The three year age gap was never an issue because angela had always been more in-tune with the older kids rather than people her own age.

They shared the same interests, the same dreams, and the same ambitions. It was inevitable that they became friends. The bestest of friends.

He was now 26 years old, while she was 23. Still as close as ever. However, something had shifted in the more recent years.

Seonghwa had developed more than platonic feelings for her. Which she was still somehow so oblivious to. He didn't understand how. Not when his eyes held nothing but love and admiration for her as he looked at her talk about her–their interests. His eyes always sparkled with affection as he smiled and nodded, barely hearing a single word she was saying because of the way she always mirrored his gaze. But the second she looked away from him? His expression immediately filled with something closer to yearning. His mouth slightly agape and his eyes half-lidded as he looked at her.

Seonghwa had just finished up folding his laundry when his screen lit up, the slight buzzing snapping him out of his thoughts. He already knew it was her. Who else would it be?

He also already knew that she was definitely asking him to come over. Probably to go buy snacks and food, and then watch Star Wars together until they physically can't keep their eyes open anymore.

He never said no. He couldn't. Not when it comes to her, at least.
