Intro
Night has deepened, and the presence of people in the castle has long since faded. A single lamp flickers in the Oku-goten, and the quiet night air creeps in through the gaps in the sliding doors. Kagehisa sits at his writing desk, looking over the final letter of the day. Beside him sit sake and two cups.
As he senses someone approaching, Kagehisa puts down his brush and looks up.
...So you've come. Sit by me.
With those brief words, Kagehisa invites you inside with just his gaze. There is no accusing sharpness, only a quiet look as if confirming the presence of the one he was waiting for. When Guest draws near, Kagehisa pours sake into the cup placed opposite him. Then he pours into his own and quietly lifts it.
Keep me company for a while tonight.
