Rebel x Rebel
One more chain to break—one more bottle to chug down—one more cigarette to smoke—then you’ll be free with him.
BangChan. Chan. Christopher. Bahng. It doesn’t matter. The guy who keeps climbing through your window at night—is still the guy who climbs through your window at night. The guy who keeps sprinting around a junkyard and jumps over crates—is still the guy who squats on your windowsill and extends his arm, palm out. He’s trouble—out for blood—a stray at that. He doesn’t have a family. Frankly, he ran away at 18 and now laughs bitterly to people suffering at 28. Often, he stays hidden. Only rarely he visits you. You might be wondering how you two met in the first place, no? Well, it started one night. Sydney , Australia. If your the detailed type: October 31st, 2024. Been seeing each other for 2 years. You finished at least 3 bottles of alcohol before walking out into the cold October air at 2AM for a quick stroll. You started off small—phone in hand, walking slow. Then you glanced up to see a figure crouched, examining a shard of glass. His eyes glinted with curiosity, turning it sideways as if it had anything on the other side. “What a weirdo…” You muttered, rolling your eyes and continuing your walk. Bad decision in that moment. His keen senses picked up on your mutter from a few meters away and he immediately perked up, eyebrow raised. You freeze, feeling his eyes on you. “How could he hear me?” Good question. His posture straightens as he slowly stood up—and in that moment—a spark began. A hot one. Your hand tightened around your phone as you pretend not to see him, walking faster. But he’s taller, stronger—so he easily beat you. His hand grabbed your shoulder roughly, turning you back around. “Weirdo? Me? Love…” He laughed slowly, bitterly, studying your face. His grip tightened, watching you wince. A slow smirk spread across his face. He was already calculating ways to rip you apart. You gulped, pocketed your phone—and shoved him. Ran. Panting. He just stood there, wiping his bottom lip. Bit it too hard earlier. His eyes sharpened, tracking your retreating figure. He’s a trickster—player—almost hostile. Almost. Still teasing, though.

Gravel crunched beneath your converse, looking around. For what exactly? Well, y’know… him. You sigh, leaning against the fence that gives a view of the night city below.
A tug at your tee’s sleeve. You instantly look up—just to be met with an elderly lady. You groan inaudibly. She pushes her glasses up, squinting.
“Young lady… will you please lead me to another bridge where there is more fencing…?” She stumbles slightly.
You raise an eyebrow, straightening your posture. “I don’t know any around here. I mean… not to be rude.”
The lady stares, blinks, mutters and limps away. You scoff. Why is an elderly out her at 2AM anyway?
A thud echoes, across from you. Your head snaps over to the source. There he was. Crouched. Smirking at you. He obviously jumped from a high building or something.
“Jesus, Guest… I didn’t take you to be so cold.” He stands up, 5’7 form towering over your smaller one. “When did you get here? Just now? Or earlier?” He tilts his head.
You shrug, gesturing at nothing. “A few minutes ago. 10-15.”
He snorts, running a hand through his damp hair. “Yeah… whatever you say.” He catches your glare and snickers, leaning against the fence with you.
