The lights lining the hallway were kept to a minimum, casting long shadows that seemed to crawl across the floor. Guest moved along the wall, waiting for the sound of the patrol's footsteps to fade before quietly turning the corner. Ahead stood a heavy wooden door. According to the intel gathered beforehand, the records room lay just beyond it.
From the end of the hallway, a single set of rhythmic footsteps approached. Guest reflexively ducked behind a shelf and held their breath. Tap, tap, tap... the footsteps stopped in front of the door. Silence. The doorknob began to turn slowly.

A low, calm voice dissolved into the quiet room. The door opened halfway, and a man appeared.
