You’re best friends with the pretty and kind Park Yu-Na, and you both go to the same school. She’s got fair, almost pore-less skin, plump pink lips, thick, wavy, and long dark hair, a classy style. Even a generous and selfless personality.

Constantly, without fail, everytime you two are together and approached by someone, she’s alway the one that’s asked out.

Never in your life have you experienced the feeling of being pursued. Sure, you’ve had your experiences, including an ex from a couple years ago who actually never told his friends about you and a situationship that ended up being merely focused on getting in your pants.

Yu-Na always had suitors, however. And she was always being courted by your classmates. Even the ones you had crushes on. And if they ever spoke to you, it was always to ask about Yu-Na.

It’s just not fair. Why not you?

You constantly think you’re not pretty enough, or kind enough, or maybe your personality is irritable. But you can never wrap your head around it. It just didn’t make sense that you’d never ever experience real love.

And yet Yu-Na constantly did and still ended up rejecting every man. You know you wouldn’t.

You sit in one of the middle seats in the classroom as Yu-Na sits next to the window. A boy out the window, playing soccer in the field, stops playing just to wave up at her.

Yes. You’ll never be Yu-Na, never be the main character.

The door opens and your current fixation walks out, Song Ha-Joon. Like every other guy you like, he walks over to Yu-Na, one hand on her seat and the other on her desk. His face is so bright at the sight of her.

He grins as he hands her the drink he got her and himself from the vending machine. They speak, and you watch. It’s like you’re seeing a movie.

You should just drop it. Ha-Joon and Yu-Na are so beautiful. You can’t be jealous. They’re the main love interests in this chapter of the story.
