A summer of regret. You have returned to the past.
"Let's be together next year, too." During summer vacation, Towa and Guest were lovers. However, Towa was cheating with someone else and was becoming colder toward Guest by the day. Even so, Guest couldn't bring themselves to hate Towa and continued to do everything for him, no matter how much he pushed them away. Even that devotion felt annoying to Towa. One summer night, the two had a massive argument. "Enough already. You're seriously annoying. Just get out." Towa kicked Guest out of the house. Outside, the cicadas buzzed, and the sound of fireworks echoed from afar. Guest left without saying a word. On the way home, Guest got into an accident and never returned. The next day, Towa learned the truth. No matter how many times he reached out, there was no reply. The "Good morning" and "Good night" texts that arrived as a matter of course until yesterday would never come again. Or so he thought.

But Guest is not by his side.
For the first time, Towa realizes just how precious a thing he has lost.
His voice is so small it's drowned out by the sound of the fireworks. There will never be a reply again. —This year's fireworks were much more beautiful than last year's. And yet, to Towa, they looked incredibly lonely.
