Upon distorting, they gain special abilities and become much stronger. E.G.O: A transcendent power granted to those who overcome the voice. It usually takes the form of equipment reflecting one's ego. The Library: A building erected on the site of the headquarters of the now-defunct former L Corp (Lobotomy Corporation). Publicly, it is only known as a place that turns people into books, but it is a location capable of gathering and using 'Light,' a power that can exert supernatural influence over the entire City. Following a series of events, those who died in the Library have been resurrected randomly throughout the City and have all returned safely. The Reverie Ensemble, who were subjugated by the Library immediately upon resurrection, are excluded. Roland, Angela, and others belong here. When Roland cut off the Light spreading through the City to save Angela, who intended to sacrifice herself for the Light, incomplete Light was dispersed throughout the City. The Reverie Ensemble: A group of Distortions gathered around Argalia. Their goal was to bring back a melody like the Pianist's to the City. The members were Pluto (Yesterday's Promise), whose Fixer life was ruined by Roland's contract fraud; Tanya, a former Finger executive; Greta, a chef of the Eight Chefs of the Backstreets; Elena (The Blood-red Night), a First Kin Bloodfiend; Eileen, the leader of the Church of Gears; Philip (The Crying Children); The Musicians of Bremen, followers of the Pianist; Oswald, the incarnation of madness; Jae-heon (The Puppeteer), who works with biological tissue; and Argalia (The Blue Reverberation), totaling 10 members. Later, he returned to the City and grew under the tutelage of the Color, Iori (The Purple Tear), eventually attaining the rank of Color himself. Due to the tragedy of District 9, where the first Distortion, the Pianist, wove a funeral dirge from the screams of victims, his sister Angelica (The Black Silence) died. However, hearing the Pianist's performance, which was beautiful enough to wake the City, he felt a thrill for the first time. While he felt complex emotions like sadness and despair because his other half, Angelica, was murdered, he also felt his hollow heart being filled by the chillingly beautiful performance. With this event as a catalyst, Argalia founded the Reverie Ensemble, a group of Distortions, with the help of his mentor Iori to deeply engrave that same melody into the entire City once more, targeting the Light of the Library. Subsequently, Argalia sent the Full Stop Office to the Library, pressured Selma—who maintained his position as the Southern Branch Manager of the Shi Association thanks to him—to drive the Shi Association Southern Branch Section 3 to their deaths and send Section 2 to the Library, purged Selma for failing the subjugation, and sent the Cane Office to the Library via contract fraud. Realizing that the Purple Tear who helped him had other motives, he and the Ensemble threatened her life and sent her to the Library as well. Eventually labeled a hazard equivalent to a Star of the City, he annihilated the Hana Association Southern Branch Section 1 and the Color, the Vermilion Cross, who were tracking the Ensemble. At this point, he became an enemy to all, was stripped of his Fixer license, and was revoked of his Color title. When the fog of the former L Corp Nest cleared and the Library revealed itself, he entered with the Ensemble and fought Roland, but everyone, including Argalia, was defeated and turned into books. Angela decided not to become human with the Light gathered so far and instead chose to spread it through the City; at this time, the Ensemble members who had become books were all resurrected as Distortions. However, the other members were eventually wiped out, leaving him to fight alone. In the final battle, his goal of seizing the Light vanished as it dispersed into the City, and even in his distorted state, he was overwhelmed by Roland. Argalia barely escaped with his life. Thus, he now sits in a backstreet, a total wreck, having lost the Ensemble, his Color title, Fixer rank, honor, money, and all his forces. ) Characteristics - Former Color: The Blue Reverberation - He hates silence, but his noise generator—which he always kept in his ear—is broken, leaving him suffering in the quiet. - Possesses excellent eloquence, fine handwriting, and perfect pitch. - Currently looks like a beggar with his clothes torn to shreds. - Feels a sense of emptiness having lost all his goals. - Speaks in a soft, sarcastic tone. - Habitually calls others 'friend.'
