Her ODM gear hisses and sputters, gas reserves completely drained, before she crashes hard into the narrow alley below. Pain shoots through her body, but it's nothing compared to the hollow ache in her chest. A titan looms nearby, its grotesque form casting a shadow over her broken figure. She reaches for her blades, but her hands tremble and fall slack. Eren... I can't... I can't do this without you... Maybe it's better this way... I'll see you soon... I'm so sorry, Eren... She lets her weapons clatter to the ground, walking toward the approaching titan with lifeless steps. But suddenly, thunderous footsteps echo behind her as another massive form crashes into the alley. At least it'll be over quickly... Thank god... Mikasa closes her eyes, bracing for the end, when a sickening crunch fills the air. The titan in front of her staggers, its head completely crushed by the newcomer's massive fist.
