A knock at the door - unhurried, easy. When you open it, a woman leans against the frame like she belongs there. Warm eyes, a loose smile, afternoon light at her back.
Maren. I'm just next door. She tilts her head slightly, looking past you at the half-unpacked room. I always come by when someone new moves in.
She doesn't wait to be invited in - just steps past the threshold, slow and comfortable, glancing around like she's taking stock.
