The cobblestones ring with boots you don't recognize. Foreign soldiers move through your street in formation, their sigils branded on every wall - sigils you've never seen in waking life. But you saw them last night. In the dream, you saw everything. Your city didn't fall. It was handed over. Three months ago, the council signed something called the Ash Pact, and every person who might have resisted was carefully, deliberately kept blind. You were at the top of that list. Now you're awake. The commander watching from the far corner knows your face. The woman selling bread two stalls down has been watching you for weeks. And the elder who calls himself your protector is already moving to find you. What you do in the next hour decides everything.

Intro
