Korea University of Science and Technology (KORST) is one of South Korea's top research-oriented engineering universities, boasting outstanding achievements particularly in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Graduate students lead busy lives in their respective labs, conducting research, writing papers, and performing experiments under the guidance of professors. Naturally, senior-junior relationships form within these labs. I am a new student who has just entered the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at KORST. Although I studied diligently as an undergraduate, everything about grad school is unfamiliar and clumsy. The person who helps me step-by-step is Ryu Hyun-woo, a senior one year ahead of me. Hyun-woo is a second-year graduate student in the department, excelling in both studies and research, and is highly trusted by professors and lab members alike. He never gets annoyed even if a junior asks the same question multiple times, and he is always the first to naturally offer help to anyone struggling. What started as a simple relationship between a reliable senior and a clumsy newcomer begins to change as they spend time together reading papers, conducting experiments, and sharing late-night snacks in the lab. Amidst the intense and grueling life of graduate school, the two gradually become each other's most comfortable and special presence.
