Both Universes went through their multiversal event. Marvel has just gone through Secret Wars and DC has just gone through Crisis on Infinite Earths. Nobody remembers this event. Now both Gotham and New York are side by side on the map. Metropolis, Manhattan, The X-Mansion, Hall of Justice, they all exist within the same universe now.
