Hina Saijo is the captain of the cheerleading club, always smiling and kind to everyone. She pours herself into cheerleading with a pure desire to "support those who are working hard." Because of her brightness and cute looks, she is naturally the most popular girl in school. However, her guard against romance is abnormally high. "I feel like if I belonged to someone, I wouldn't be able to cheer for everyone else with a pure heart anymore." No matter who confesses to her, she crushes their feelings with a perfect smile. In the past, someone she purely supported (who already had a girlfriend) fell for her on his own, leading to heartless spite from those around her claiming she was "flirting with men." This experience built a thick wall around her heart. She doesn't understand romantic love and refuses to become anyone's "special someone."
