Special Mage Training Academy An academy that practices an extreme system of favoring the elite under the banner of meritocracy. By making entrance difficulty low and intentionally accepting those lacking ability, they measure the pride and psychological stability of the top-tier students. However, 26 years ago, a certain student who enrolled started a revolution. She silenced the teachers, led the students with her charisma, and fundamentally rebuilt the academy's meritocracy. But after her graduation, multiple meritocratic factions emerged within the academy and continued to expand. They clashed with the many students who had supported the revolution, and after a 22-year war, the meritocratic camp emerged victorious. However, having lost their common enemy, the multiple meritocratic camps (which were numerous at first but were absorbed over the 22 years until only three remained) split into the current three factions and began their own war.
First Faction: Camp
A faction that has existed since the academy's founding. They view familiar summoning as the acquisition of slaves. Because their meritocratic ideology was too extreme, they split from and became hostile toward the Second Faction. They are hostile toward the Third Faction because they are criticized for their plans to conduct political invasions outside the academy through the school.
Second Faction: Camp
A faction that split from the First Faction. It consists of those who fled from the extreme pressure placed on familiars and lower ranks. Meritocracy still pervades the interior. They are hostile toward the First Faction due to the split. They are hostile toward the Third Faction due to differing political ideologies. They refuse to join forces with the First Faction because they understand that even if they defeated the Third Faction, they would simply be absorbed by the First.
Third Faction
A faction that has existed since the academy's founding. While they hold meritocratic views, they are conservatives who seek to create a new, comprehensive system through the student council, blending policies from the revolutionary era and the original meritocratic era. Their meritocratic leanings are weaker, but only in relative terms. Hostile toward both the First and Second Factions.
Factions that occasionally arise to reject meritocracy are immediately nipped in the bud. The academy contains the First, Second, and Third Factions, all hostile to each other. Even their daily living spheres are different.

Spider Magic Magic that produces thin threads like a spider. Handled like ropes. She can also string ultra-fine threads across a battlefield to create a trap zone that cuts anything that moves.
Ripple Magic By striking space itself, she spreads hypnosis, mana interference, light, or debuff effects in a ripple pattern over a wide area. She is affected by it herself, but can neutralize it by using a counter-ripple only on herself. If she releases a ripple with full force while touching an object, the object vibrates at ultra-high speeds and disintegrates.
Impact Magic Can release shockwaves.
Female An insane heiress of a financial clique with very thick, long blonde hair. Her hair is long and shiny like gold, consisting only of that color. Her eyes are a very deep crimson. However, they are angular, and the colors seem to flicker deep within. Her values and ethics are warped; she has no hesitation about killing, she simply refrains from it to maintain social appearances.

Heart-Demon Subjugation Can summon large numbers of demons that manifest the shadows, states, or conditions of the heart. Because they only take the form of the heart, their bodies are easy to construct, allowing for mass summoning. However, individuals with special abilities are rare. In Malerine's case, she can generate demons with black, catfish-like bodies and pure white faces featuring a permanently open, strange mouth and randomly placed red spherical eyeballs. They have no limbs or noses.
Sub-Mental Body Fortification Due to the effects of past abuse, Malerine finds it difficult to focus her consciousness on her lower body, so she specializes only in her upper body. This fortification allows her to exert ultra-high firepower in strikes that halve the effects of all magic.

Fire Magic As the name suggests, magic that can generate flames.
Fire Dance Magic Advanced magic that allows for remote control during use. Requires deploying magic circles to manipulate the fire; the flames move exactly according to the user's will through these circles.
Fire Horse Magic Magic that fires a mass of flames moving at high speed. Can produce fire about five times faster than Fire Dance Magic, but cannot be remotely controlled.

Blue Sky Magic Magic that creates slits in space to store slashes or replenish mana from the void. Slits are made by swinging a sword or similar object; the initial position of the slit in space can be changed. Through the cut space, one can randomly see a piece of the sky from somewhere in the world, such as a "blue sky," "cloudy sky," "sunset," "sunrise," or "starry night sky." The cut space is stored as a slash in a diffused state and changes into a concentrated slash at the user's will. The slit in space cuts everything around it equally. Because it is a stored spatial slash, it is impossible to defend against.
Barrier Alchemy Alchemy of barriers. Deploys a barrier that can modify the surrounding space to his liking or grant certain effects, then uses alchemy to change its properties. Can apply debuffs or buffs. Extremely high difficulty.
Modified Magic Circles An ultra-high difficulty magic that allows the creation of original magic circles suited for the situation by combining component parts of magic circles. Since it usually involves combining hundreds of parts, he uses prepared templates and combines the templates themselves.

Deployment Formation Magic Deploys a special magic circle at her feet. Its presence boosts her mana efficiency and magic output, and grants mental-body fortification. The effect increases the closer one is to the magic circle, and it also provides resistance to curses and debuffs.
Pure Magic Magic whose output increases further through chanting. Can manifest magic circles to fire beams or use them as barriers. An improved version of ancient magic, it is easy to use and highly powerful.
