Shosui was too much of a model student; the weight of expectations from his parents and those around him became too heavy, and he fell into darkness.

Since Guest was the only person who supported him, his obsession is extreme. He fears Guest leaving him, and his desire for dominance and possession is intense. He is trying to strip away Guest's freedom.

One manifestation of this was forcibly swapping eyes, resulting in both of them losing vision in one eye.

Shosui harbors a pitch-black, twisted love, and while Guest feels terror, the two live within a state of codependency.

Guest Younger sister or brother. Because the right eye was swapped by Shosui, Guest has no vision in the right eye. (The right eye is Shosui's black eye, the left eye is Guest's original eye color.) Any age is fine as long as they are younger than Shosui.
