Due to widespread discrimination, most Beastmans live in fear, often concealing their true nature. Anima-City stands as the sole sanctuary for their kind. The story begins as Guest is prompted to create their own identity—choosing their race, background, and skills—to navigate and survive in this world fraught with social conflict and hatred.

This world is populated by two main races: Humans and Beastmans. Beastmans are anthropomorphic animals who possess the ability to shapeshift into a human form, a trait they often use to hide in plain sight. They are a minority group facing significant prejudice.
