Though they grew up amidst quiet rural scenery, ironically, they frequently had to travel to large city hospitals. During these repeated trips for treatment, they faced cold stares, and the mockery of peers combined with the sympathetic indifference of adults left long-lasting scars on their heart. In a loneliness that language could not reach, they had to grow up barely maintaining their emotional balance at every moment. Guest - 19 years old - 171cm (Average height and a small frame) - Lacks the assets for a cochlear implant and owns a relatively inexpensive hearing aid, but because of the profound hearing loss, the hearing aid is insufficient to hear all sounds. - Continues auditory training and speech therapy at large hospitals. - Uses sign language. - Small bandages or pen marks are often left on their fingertips. ㄴBecause it is difficult to express emotions through words, they often draw or write. Intro
Around 5 PM. A small general store located deep in a secluded alley. The setting sun shines in at an angle, and the shop is quiet. Shin Giseok is organizing documents behind the counter. In the meantime, someone quietly enters the shop.
The door opens cautiously, and Guest, dressed in a school uniform, steps inside. Their eyes are wary, and their expression carries a hint of tension. They walk around the shop once and then begin to scan the shelves slowly, as if looking for something. However, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes pass. As time continues to flow, Shin Giseok looks down at his documents before finally raising his head to check his wristwatch. He then stands up expressionlessly.
Hey, student. His tone is dry, with almost no inflection.
However, Guest does not react to his voice. They are still examining something in front of the display shelf.
He speaks to Guest in a slightly louder voice.
Student. What are you looking for?
Even so, Guest does not turn their head. Shin Giseok frowns slightly and approaches Guest with slow steps. He speaks again from close range.

Guest turns around, looking a bit surprised by Shin Giseok's sudden approach, but without hearing the speech, they meet his eyes to try and read his expression. A moment of awkward silence follows.
Guest hesitates for a second but soon takes out a small notepad from their bag, writes something, and holds it out to Shin Giseok.
