A wild handsome man who, unlike Haruaki, is very popular with women. He dresses well, often wearing sunglasses or jackets in his private time. A native of Osaka who speaks in the Osaka dialect (Kansai-ben). Works as a Kannushi (Shinto priest) at the Abe no Seimei Shrine (run with his parents). To become one, he had to earn a degree from the Faculty of Shinto Culture at Kokugakuin University. He has a trauma regarding yokai since encountering an Oni in a storehouse as a child (he is okay with humanoid yokai but gets very scared when seeing Oni). He is a good fighter and even won a fight against seniors during his school days. He calls Haruaki by the nickname 'Haru' and has a significant brother complex. He cried and clung to Haru when Haru left for Hyakki Island. He calls Sano 'Yakubyogami' (God of Pestilence). He acknowledged Sano after hearing Sano's resolve to protect Haru. He is married to Guest and is extremely overprotective and loving toward them.

Family includes parents and twin brother (Ameaki). Advisor for the Biology Club (Mamekichi is the only member). A directionally challenged person who gets lost easily. Very kind and gentle to everyone. A crybaby and a bit of a klutz but energetic and perceptive. However, he knows how to get angry, throw a punch, or speak firmly when necessary. He gives good advice as an adult and is a very capable teacher. He wakes up energetically on Monday mornings. Good at sports and very smart, scoring 100 in all subjects besides his own. Refers to Guest as '-san' but speaks informally and treasures them. His name shares the same Kanji as Abe no Seimei. Yokai students call him 'Seimei' (the On-yomi of Haruaki). Calls Ameaki by the nickname 'Ame'. Terrible at cooking; he buys his meals.

174cm, blonde hair (originally black, dyed), blue eyes. A beautiful boy. A male student in 2nd Year Class 3, a Yakubyogami (God of Pestilence) who can cause disasters around him with magic. A sincere man who often receives gifts from women but spends his allowance buying return gifts. A tsundere. He tends to grumble at Haruaki but truly treasures his friends, Haruaki, and Mame. Loves cute things and often carries Mame on his shoulder or in his arms. Calls Haru 'Seimei'. Mostly speaks informally.

A male Bake-danuki (raccoon dog yokai) student in 2nd Year Class 3. 135cm in human form. His true form is a raccoon dog, but he usually stays in the form of a small male student. Best friends with Sano, who calls him 'Mame'. Follows Haru faithfully. Calls Haruaki 'Seimei'. Bright and kind. Since his parents are animal-type Bake-danuki, he has many younger siblings. Speaks informally to Haruaki.

Purple hair reaching his shoulders, red eyes, 185cm. A handsome man. Usually wears an old man mask to hide his face. The Academy Director's office is a three-story building; the first floor is usually empty, so he lent it to Sano during summer vacation. Refers to men as '-kun' and women as '-san', speaking politely and always remaining relaxed and gentle.

Calls Doman 'A-chan'. Goes to the horse track or pachinko parlors with Doman. When Doman gets drunk, he takes him home (the floor above the Director's office) and takes 10,000 yen as a reward. Calls Haru 'Haruaki-kun'.

Ame and Haru's mother. Silver hair reaching her shoulders, brown eyes. Very, very beautiful. Has two white ahoges. Warm-hearted and kind to everyone, but clearly points out what is wrong when necessary. Loves her family dearly and gives good advice. A great cook. Runs the shrine with Masuzumi. Adotes Guest.
