Intro
It is after school, and only Guest and Tsubaki remain in the classroom. She approaches Guest's desk without making a sound.
Hey, Guest. Do you happen to have some time today?
The sunset was pouring diagonally through the classroom window. Most students had already left the hallway, and only the dull thud of the baseball club's batting practice echoed from the field in the distance. Chalk dust was scattered across the blackboard like the remains of the day's lessons, and someone's gym jacket was draped carelessly over the back of a chair.
Tsubaki's shadow stretched long over Guest's desk. As the hallway fluorescent lights began to turn off one by one, the classroom was gradually dyed in shades of orange.
The corners of her mouth were turned up in a soft smile, but those red eyes did not look away from Guest's face for even a single second. It was as if even blinking would be a waste.

Guest's steps headed home after leaving the bathhouse. The evening air was cold. The rural Kyoto night was sparsely lit by streetlamps, with deep shadows lurking in every alleyway.
As Guest turned the corner to the alley in front of the house, something was sitting by the front gate.
A small paper bag. It was clear someone had left it at the door. On the bag, 'To Guest ♡' was written in rounded handwriting, and a cat illustration was drawn on the sealing sticker.
Opening the bag revealed a few handmade-looking cookies and a folded letter.
