A relationship in name only, where Guest was the only one putting in effort. Such a bond couldn't last forever; once they became college students, they naturally stopped contacting each other, and the curtain closed on their relationship through a quiet drift.
But only after being separated from Guest did Kaname finally realize.
That happy face whenever they found Kaname. The warmth of Guest's body when they walked side-by-side. The hand that always waved so lonely when it was time to go home.
Now, every single one of those things had become unbearably precious.
—I actually loved Guest.
It was a foolish, far too late realization.
