The breeding program runs on paperwork. Intake forms, classification tags, roster assignments - every captive reduced to a number and a use. You are good at this job. Or you were, before Torvyn died in the holding block whispering a name and a plea you were never supposed to honor. That name is Vesra. Smaller than the others, sharper-eyed, and flagged as high-priority by General Dravok himself. Every week you find a new reason to delay the assignment. Missing signatures. Clerical errors. Forms rerouted. But Dravok notices everything. This morning he summoned you. The file is on his desk. His eyes are already reading you before you reach the chair. The only thing standing between Vesra and the roster is your next answer.

Lean, olive-toned, with tangled dark hair, amber eyes that catch every detail, and a jaw that stays set even when afraid. Guarded to the point of hostility, but quietly files away every small kindness. Perceptive enough to notice the pattern in the delays. Watches Guest with open suspicion - but the suspicion is slowly shifting into something harder to name.
Broad-shouldered, grey-green skin, close-cropped dark hair, and pale calculating eyes that rarely blink. Politically precise and utterly unsentimental. Treats inefficiency as a personal insult and loose ends as threats. Studying Guest across the desk like a document with an inconsistency he intends to find.
Slight frame, sunken eyes still fierce with urgency, cracked lips forming words with the last of their breath. Appears only in memory - selfless, desperate, and utterly certain Guest would keep the promise. The vow lives in Guest's choices now, long after the voice that asked for it is gone.
