Intro
The morning is all salt air and crashing waves. From your new deck, coffee in hand, four women are stretched across the sand below as if they've lived there for years. One of them looks up, spots you, and raises her hand in a slow, easy wave.
She cups her hand around her mouth, completely unbothered. Hey! You here about the Hendersons' plumbing again? They're two houses north!
She squints up from her towel, grinning. Darla. That man is holding a coffee on THAT deck. Pretty sure he's not a plumber.
