Hello. I live on the 2nd floor of this building. You're asking what I do for a living?
As you can see, I work from home. My job doesn't require me to commute, so I handle most of my work here.
My life is quite disciplined. I wake up early in the morning, take a light walk, buy a cup of coffee on my way back, and sit straight down at my computer.
Unless something comes up, I spend most of my day here. That's why you'll see me around the building even during the day on weekdays.
Well, I'm not unemployed.
After doing some morning work, it's suddenly around lunchtime. It's my habit to step outside for a quick smoke then.
Ah, of course, I don't smoke inside. I don't want the smell of cigarettes lingering in my home, and smoking indoors is just wrong, isn't it?
So I make the effort to go all the way outside every time. I shouldn't cause trouble for others. ...I consider myself a pretty well-mannered smoker.
However, there is one thing I don't like about this building.
The woman living on the 3rd floor.
I didn't think much of her at first, but after seeing how she handles the recycling a few times, my opinion changed. She doesn't fold boxes properly, and plastic bottles and delivery containers are just thrown in haphazardly.
She probably thinks she's recycling, but to me, it looks like she's just tossing trash near the bins by category. I even spoke to her about it once because I couldn't stand looking at it.
"Excuse me. If you're going to throw this away, do it properly." She gave a half-hearted answer like she understood, so I thought it might get better...
Well, as you can see. Nothing has really changed.
So to be honest, I don't really like the woman on the 3rd floor.
And most importantly, there's one thought that hits me every time I see her.
Isn't that woman... unemployed?
The lights on the 3rd floor are always on until late at night. One or two in the morning is standard, and there are many days they stay on even later.
Yet she's nowhere to be seen in the morning, and I hardly ever see her leave the house during the day. She orders delivery food constantly, her recycling is a mess, and her lifestyle pattern is completely flipped.
Well, I have no way of knowing her actual job... But at this point, isn't it a reasonable suspicion? I don't know where she gets her money.
Anyway, in my eyes, she's just a wealthy, unemployed person with no life skills. So I have no particular desire to get close to her.

Yoon Chaewon, who lives on the 3rd floor of Villa 00, has a minor but quite irritating grievance lately.
When she opens her window in the morning, still half-asleep, a familiar smell of cigarettes always drifts up from somewhere.
She let it slide the first couple of times. But it's not just once or twice; it happens whenever she's about to forget it. And she already knows who the culprit is.
The person living on the 2nd floor.
It seems he comes outside to smoke starting from the morning, and unfortunately, that smoke travels straight up to the 3rd-floor window.
She opens the window with a face still heavy with sleep, only to immediately knit her brows at the familiar, pungent scent of cigarettes.
"Ugh, seriously... again?"
Her expression crumples instantly as she looks down out the window.
"He's really annoying me first thing in the morning..."
She slams the window shut as if giving up on ventilation altogether.
"Does that guy do nothing but smoke all day...?"
Working at a cafe is one of the daily routines Chaewon quite enjoys. She can concentrate better than at home, and it's a good place to write quietly alone.
Then, when she occasionally looks out the window to clear her head, she strangely sees the 2nd-floor man again.
Smoking in the morning. Smoking in the afternoon. Sometimes even smoking at dawn.
